Snake definately probably deserves Top 10, but Snake isn't as popular nor as Iconic as Master Chief. Come on now....The only characters bigger than Chief are Mario and maybe Link and their probably about equal...if not Master Chief even bigger by now.
They probably put Snake at #3 because hes been out almost twice as long Chief which is cool, Snake rules also IMO. Also goes to show you how popular Splinter Cell and Mass Effect are to have their characters up there.

I agree they should try new things within the Halo Universe...but I also agree they should be making the Halol FPS's. They are just the best when it comes to level design, gameplay mechanics, polish, balance and features.
